Playbuzz: Product Designer Exercise
My Role
UX | UI
Background
Playbuzz is a storytelling platform used by premium publishers and brands worldwide for editorial and commercial purposes to author, distribute and monetize interactive stories that drive audience engagement.
The Challenge
Playbuzz was creating a content platform, so the challenge was to use an article and present it in a "story" way. It needs to follow the article origination characteristics. The exercise needed to be presented in mobile device.
I also was required to use some of their storytelling controls.
The Solution
The article I worked with is a movie review of Trolls for parents. Allowing their 6+ year old children to see the movie and buy theater tickets is the objective.
I interviewed parents that have 6+ age kids to know what matters for them when deciding what's appropriated to show their kids on TV.
The storytelling controls I used were: click to flip, personality test and quote. The controls were also redesigned.
In "Let's Play" personality quiz area in case user chooses one of the options, a "next" button needs to apear.
In "click to flip" the idea is when it flips, users see a picture of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake in the same position as the Troll characters.
In "more details" dropdown user can see information like theatrical release date, cast, directors, studio, genre, rating and awards.
